The Friends of the Shorewood-Troy Public Library is a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to provide gifts (programs, materials, equipment, and artwork) for the library. The Friends offer used books and magazines for sale throughout the year, as well as hosting annual fundraising events.

We were founded to provide additional support to the library. Our most recent gift included professionally printed bookmarks from a children's bookmark design contest. We want to make sure that the library has the books, programs, and technologies to meet our community's needs. Yes, the library is  tax-funded, but it can always use a little help from its Friends!

NEW as of JUNE 2019...JUNIOR FRIENDS! Children pre-K and older are invited to attend their own Junior Friends meeting with Ms. Amy to learn more about the library, help take care of books, make crafts and more. Junior Friends meet at the same time as adult Friends meetings.

Contact the library's Assistant Director, Shalyn Rodriguez, by calling 815-725-4368, emailing or downloading the brochure below..

Everyone is invited to attend our meetings, held at the library on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Help us as we brainstorm fundraising ideas and gifts to the library.
