VOLUNTEERING
Adults and high school students who would like to volunteer at the library, drop off a completed application form AND signed policy form at the reference desk (paper copies are also available at the library).


Responsibilities include shifting books, cleaning shelves, cutting and folding promotional materials, etc.

JOBS AT THE LIBRARY

Technical Services Assistant Position

The Library has a part-time job opening (15 hrs a week/$11.25 an hour) for a technical services assistant. This person will be preparing books to go on the shelf (putting on barcodes, putting on book jackets, etc.), repairing damaged items, and performing inventory under the direction of the Technical Services Head.

Attention to detail is a MUST for this job! Hours are mostly day-time hours and can be flexible after a month-long training period. Some night and weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Successful candidates must have:
-- Either a high school diploma or GED
-- Have computer and data-entry skills
-- An understanding of the Dewey Decimal System
-- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work a 
    variety of different people within the library.
